re: californian in London
Hey, so, you're in London. Probably chosen the worst place in the UK if you're into surfing.
The south coast has hardly any swell, as does the south east coasts.
You need to get down to cornwall and devon (about 5 or 6 hours to the west of London). It's there that we have our best breaks.
We also have decent breaks on the Yorkshire coasts about 5 hours north of London. Check Saltburn and Cayton Bay. Pretty decent on their day.
But all in all, go down to Cornwall if you want the best waves (holding up to 2.5 metres easily).
You should have gone and studied at Bristol or Plymouth or something.... somewhere closer to the surf!

Sunny sunday session
Sunday 18.01.2009 Beautiful, sunny sunday session. Good sized waves with lots of power ensured some pretty sweet rides all the way to the bank. However, the wind was a constant factor, which ensured a drift that kept you paddling to stay
