Word Class I'm agree that Barcelona is not your surf destiny, but the pictures doesn't lie, when Barceloneta breaks it's a powerful wave as Atlantic ones, of course I'd surf in several Atlantic spots in the Vasque Country or Cannay Islands. It's a pity but the is a project to protect the beaches and maybe will never work again, but even isn't a frequently wave it's a very good one if you are in the Barcelona's area, somebody could say tha Mundaka doesn't break good very often but nobody could say that is not one of the best.

mmmmm Hey guys, I lived in Barcelona one year, I just came back last december and believe me, there is no surfing in Catalunya, so please, don´t b.s us with these stormy photos that are taken on special days due to wind conditions and not because swell conditions. If you wanna surf in Spain, you know the places, San Sebastian, Cantabria, Tarifa, Galicia, etc, never EL Mediterráneo.

Something else A classic mediterranean spot. It seems like a Mediterranean version of Santa Monica or Venice (CA) when the conditions appear.Be carefull about the pollution and the robbers :(

Barceloneta can have good waves I saw there good waves on December 24th 2003. 1 meter to 1.30 meter waves, slight offshore, nicely shapped waves, but not very powerful.Quite crowded : around 15 guys on the peak of the south side of the beach, and around 40 on the north side (which seems to be better). It's right in the middle of the city.
