surf rental
LOOKING FOR SURF RENTAL!!I am going to Porto next week for a business trip, will probably have one free day so wanna check out the surf in Leca. Since I dont wanna bring my board on that trip I am wondering if there is any rental possibility in Leca or Porto or anywhere nearby?? How have the waves been recently? Thanx. Eva

i´m from leça bum i´ve been living in angola for 3 years now. i just wanted to say eb carefull because the currents on the dock side of leça pull you towards the pier, i saw a guy die there. don´t get to close.

i was a lucky one
i was really lucky on a monday in late september 04. i just stayed in leca for one day, visiting a friend of mine and i caught it with headhigh waves, very strong offshore winds and sunny 30 degrees while my buddy had to go to work...
it also wasn t too crowded, not more than 10 people or so.
but i heard it really shouldnt be like that very often.

if you are there and its good, enjoy it!

Leça is very Good
there are some stupid guys here.
leça have very good days during the year.
maybe the best spot in this area!
it´s a very good wave!

A Foto nem sequer é em Leça...
Antes de mais é de referir que estas fotos não foram tiradas em Leça mas sim em Espinho e sim, são mesmo do Stru (mas duvido que tenha sido ele a enviá-las...) e quanto ás ondas de Leça talvez fosse melhor, quem duvida delas ir lá mais que uma vez porque devem ter tido uma pontaria incrivel para nunca verem Leça em força, qualquer pessoa pode vêr isso e ainda mais curtir muito no mar lá por isso deixem-se de coisas... Tem alturas menos boas e com as obras que lá houve muito pessoal debandou de lá mas espero que recupere.

The guy that told "to have waves like the fotos just once a year!" must be blind or not local.. It`s true that leça isn`t what a few years ago was.. but if you have a good swell, size like 1mt. and some south or east wind (offshore) in the morning_ uprising.. you have very good waves like you see in the fotos..

oil refinery
location is fairly unattractive due to the large oil refinery in the background, directly at the beach.
