Great waves near the city
Best surf spot close to downtown Lisbon . Check the River in the winter at Low tide. Serious Wave. Like Mundaka. The best local is a longboarder . the crown (Kontiki Crowd) can be hungry when it is 0.5 to 1 m. when it gets bigger they come back to lisbon , and you surf it with 5 or 10 guys.

Caparica is a good place for surfing in september. If you respect the locals, no problem at all. We met very nice people and had a lot of fun. But if you want nightlife better go to Lisbon (10-15 Km). There are 3 hotels, and the best one is Costa Caparica hotel . The village is not nice but the beach is long and clean

can anyone recommend?!
I am thinking about going to central Lisboa in mid September but need to combine surfing & nightlife to keep everyone happy! thinking of going to Costa/Joao da Caparcia or maybe Estoril/Cascais can anyone recommend either & any accommodation???
