Great waves near the city - Best surf spot close to downtown Lisbon . Check the River in the winter at Low tide. Serious Wave. Like Mundaka. The best local is a longboarder . the crown (Kontiki Crowd) can be hungry when it is 0.5 to 1 m. when it gets bigger they come back to lisbon , and you surf it with 5 or 10 guys.

Listen Paul... - Caparica is a good place for surfing in september. If you respect the locals, no problem at all. We met very nice people and had a lot of fun. But if you want nightlife better go to Lisbon (10-15 Km). There are 3 hotels, and the best one is Costa Caparica hotel . The village is not nice but the beach is long and clean

Longbaorders dream... - Good Friday was a classic day, wall to wall sunshine, slight offshore and 15KM of beachbreak to chose from. The paddle out is short and a choice of left and rights can be found all along the beach. The wave is ledgy and mellow, I rode a 9'6" for many times over 100yds right to the shore at times, go and enjoy, then have a great night out Portuguese stylie.....

i live there! - A great place if you enjoy LONGBOARD! With this kink of board you can surf the whole year! The swell usually strykes the most during the winter, but in the summer is when caparica reveal's itself as a great resort both for holidays and surfing. The waves are small ( 0,5 m till 1,5 m - when it gets bigger, it closes too much ), but u can chose from 15 km of beaches, most of them completely uncrowded. If it gets flat, u can always have some drinks, see some gorgeous chics or scubadive around! THERE IS NO LOCALISM OR POLUTION HERE! come and get it!!! s'eya!
