About Locals - Locals are usually the guys that have been surfing there for long years, with hardcore conditions, and that are first in the "line of fire" to defend a spot (and that includes iniciatives against pollution, amoug other things)...Since they defend some wave, aprecciate it, and are usually respected, dont go out there and do the opposite... You will regret it...Not because they dont have brains, but because they do. RESPECT ;-)
