General Seasonal Wind Conditions
I have a question about the general wind conditions- My girlfriend who is originally from Lisbon and I are planning to come to portugal next fall. I was originally thinking October, but late November might work out better for her to see her family. I know it gets bigger from fall and into the winter. I've been surfing for 20 years & I'm not afraid of surf in the 10-15 foot & maybe a little larger range, but I'm concerned about the wind conditions... for example is October generally cleaner than November? or does the wind vary similarly? cold water is not an issue either as I live in New Jersey and surf straight through the winter. Long story short is it better yto come in Oct or late Nov? much respect and obrigado muito!

Great souvenir
Hi,
I went surfing here in summer 2001, it was so insane that i still feel the wave in my mind after all these years.
Surely the best spot for bodyboarders i've had to surf.
Thanks to locals : event if you hear 'puta madre' or other things don't worry, they're friendly.

a powerfull wave
I surfed reef in summer, and my friends and I thought there weren´t going to be waves in ribiera d´ilhas so we had a look to the left side and far in rocks we saw an amazing backflip by a bodyboarder.Quikly we went there and sow a perfect right one meter barrel.then we went inside and we had no problems with the locals,even when one of my friends hit accidentally the nose of one of the bodyboarders and made him bleed.the locals were great withs us.
talking about the wave, I was so amazed becouse of the power it had.it can be a dangerous spot if you don´t have a medium surfing level,and it is madness with more than 2 meters.I can only say I had a great session.(I hope I¨ll see Anthony,the australian surfer;there again!!!).

I think the photos are not of the reef but the liitle beach near by. It is in front of the rocks at the far point.
