About 50 km north of Lisbon by a national road of low quality. it´s near the famous Ribeira de Ilhas, to the north.
or Pass Ericeira go to Ribamar than you see the sign PRAIA DOS COXOS than you see the the beach bay but 500 m to the left there´s another bay(bigger) thats the famous COXOS WAVE
In the middle of the bay there´s a channel in the left side you have the CRAZY LEFT in the right side COXOS.Enjoy it and don´t be scare about the locals.

very , very good, but very crowded too the best time to go here is in the morning on week days, where you can sometimes surf alone...at weekends forget it!!!!
perfect wave
to be short and sweet. when it gets off u have min 40 guys b4 630am on this point. just head 2km north to san lourenzo where ull be surfing same wave but alone!!! locals are super nice

careful
the locals may allow you in coxos, but remember to respect them. there have been bad cases where one wct surfer thought he could surf coxos the way he surfs in his country, by not respecting others. bad idea.
