perfect wave
to be short and sweet. when it gets off u have min 40 guys b4 630am on this point. just head 2km north to san lourenzo where ull be surfing same wave but alone!!! locals are super nice

careful
the locals may allow you in coxos, but remember to respect them. there have been bad cases where one wct surfer thought he could surf coxos the way he surfs in his country, by not respecting others. bad idea.

Great coxos
i bodyboarded Coxos in April. The Locals were actually way cooler than i thought (surfers and bodyboarders usually get along pretty well in portugal), we were exchanging waves, hooting on good waves etc. on weekends and holidays it becomes quite a madhouse, though, with a lot of spanish and french visitors.. I only had it at 1,5 -2m some nice barrel sections, otherwise really good for carving (not for airs). when the tide is too high for coxos, paddle over to crazy left, which is tricky and dangerous on a NW swell.

This wave is one of the best rights in the world, when we talk about a wave directly for SURF, it´s not a Bodyboard wave, it´s much better for surf...but believe me POWERFULL and DANGEROUS :)

heavy locals
hey i went to coxos for a month and got dropped in on alot ,, the locals are heavy they dont even see you ..you might as well be invisible ..i got threatened several times and called a beef ..got some good waves ...but hasseled to death ..
