Marina side of town and clearly signposted. Free parking all over the place. It's the big beach in lagos the other side of the marina. 20 min walk from town (over the bridge) 5 second paddle over the marina entrance! (watch the boats) |

| | Parking no problem. Free parking in several car parks right on the beach and behind beach bar near marina.small place to park on the very right hand side of beach if facing towards the ocean and parking near restaurants on the beach.

this wave is fun to go to because its a very different wave from the west coast. the beach is about 5k's long so no need to worry about crowds, though the very right handside is probably the best place to be. not consistent so a lot of the time it just looks like a family beach! Pictures are proof that it does work. Spent two weeks travelling from Lagos each day in search of surf, but best surf of the whole holiday was the evening I spotted Meia Praia going off from the balcony (in July!!). Classic session!! |

General |
I'm not sure it works very often, but Lagos is the perfect base from which to explore the surf in the Algarve. Bonus to return in the evening and find a quality wave on your doorstep! it more or less always has off shore winds though so it creates lovely crisp waves when firing. fast and clean with no hazards at all. (loved it) when it worked! |

First Green Wave!
Really calm, sunset glassy night. paddled out, took about 30seconds as not very frequent waves. caught first green waves and turned down them straight off...was awesome feeling!

Lagos, Portugal with Extreme Holidays....leant to surf! caught my first green wave and turned down it straight away! was awesome!
....oh and the people and nightlife werent too bad either :)
