lofoten islands - howdy! we're planning a surf/fishing trip to the lofoten islands. none of us have surfed, or even visited, the lofotens before so we're looking for some tips on where we might find waves. thanks! STEFU

surf in tronheim or oslo - I dont know anything about trondheim, but the nearest spot to oslo is saltstein near larvik. Only one thing- there is a year round bann on surfing due to norwegian environmentalists. You might want to call sea-sport in oslo. They have info on that stuff (+47 22 83 79 28

Greek Surfer - hi guys...im travelling from greece to norwai and id like to ask if there are any spots near oslo or trodheim where ill be staying. Also is there a possibillity to rent a board in these regions?..and yes greece has waves too..not only windsurf,chicks and mousaka!!

surf school around stavanger - Go to www.surfschool.no if you're around the stavanger area and want to surf! Rune who runs it speaks good english and the lessons area good and will drive you all aorund the area to get the best waves for your ability, also not a bad price compared to everything else in Norway!!

winter surf - Due to norwegian environmentalists, surfing is prohibited from the 31.oct-1 april in certain areas south and north of stavanger. You can get a 800 dollar fine if you get caught. I suggest for more info if your going to that regian of norway to surf, contact-> www.surfsentrum.no or the norwegian surfing association-> www.norsurf.com for more info. This means that the best spots during the best part of the season is of limits. WHY you ask?- because of the bird population that migrates here during the winter season.

Go figure???
