Anyway, back to surfing.... - Whats the chances of getting skunked in May? Any consistent waves in the summer or does everything hibernate? I welcome replies in any language..

Madeira is the top island for surf - Hello!! I was in Jardim do Mar during the 18 december 2005 to the 4 jan 2006 and i'm telling you there were some class waves nearly everyday and hardly any wind!! JArdim do Mar is the top spot to surf!

English only does not make it International - International site means INTERNATIONAL with all the languages spoken by the international community in it. To be only in English does not make it international, makes it an English spiking site and than because you can not stop the internationality of the internet and don’t allow non English speaking people to access your site than I suggest you only report on waves from English spiking countries as a way to minimise non English speaking people to have interess on your site.

world study comprove that... - the languages that will be spoken more in world, for the next few years will be the spanish and the portuguese.
no one teld that the english are the world language. is the most easy to speak and writte, probably.

noa fallar portugese beefe? - what is wrong with messages in portugese webmaster?especially when surfing is involved,are the portugese not the people that discovered the new world as we know it, by boat?why then is pork and cheese not the international language?its not even that difficult to read, is it??? simpler than japanese anyhows.

MADEIRA POWER RULES!!!! - boas tardes a todos os surfistas da madeira.estive na vossa ilha uma semana(neste mês).No primeiro dia que cheguei surfei o paul do mar, mas com fracas condições.Muito vento, mas deu para curtir umas.Já que aqui no continente às vezes surfámos com condições piores.No 2º dia não havia ondas de jeito.Muito vento e chuva.No 3º dia fomos para a ponta pequena,passando antes pelo jardim do mar.No jardim não surfámos pois estava muito inóspito.Na ponta pequena surfamos 2m-2,5m com um pouco de vento.Mesmo assim estava muito bom.Na água estavamos 8 gajos(4 madeirenses e uns bifes e um continental).Tudo sem stresses.Até porque com aquele tamanho não há lugar para stresses.Eu curti umas,mas num daqueles sets vassoura,não consegui passar a rebentação e fui parar todinho às rochas.Fiquei todo amassado no braço,nas mãos e nos pés!A prancha nem se fala.Ficou com um calhau cravegado no foam!Madeira Power!No dia seguinte surfamos Paul do Mar com 2 metros glass.Onda tipo foto de revista.Muito bom mesmo.Como ainda estava assustado da visita aos calhaus do dia anterior,deixei me ficar nas marrecas do inside e ficava a ver os prós madeirenses a ripar as maiores(Fabricio e outro que agora não me lembro do nome).Também lá estava um gajo do Porto que eu conheço a andar muito bem e sem medo.No dia seguinte o mar caiu e surfamos na Fajã da Areia.Aqui já me senti mais à vontade pois a onda quebra longe de terra e o drop é parecido com uma praia cá de casa.No ultimo dia surfamos outra vez fajã.Este foi o melhor dia:1,5 com o mar um pouco mechido,mas sempre altas ondas.Quando me começava a habituar,é que tive de vir embora.
Agora uma palavra em relação aos surfistas madeirenses:fui recebido por três dos melhores bodyboarders que conheci até hoje:ROMÂO,STEPHAN e HUGO OLIM do Machico.Foram 3 grandes amigos que me levaram a conhecer todos os picos da Madeira.A sua hospitalidade e apoio deixaram me realmente sensibilizado e agradecido.Conheci também outros surfistas(naõ bodys):o João,que acho que também faz triatlo e que gosta de umas ponchas!!Quanto aos outros surfers, não tive qualquer problema com nenhum deles.Pois se um gajo quer ser respitado,há que respeitar.Sendo assim,nunca há stresses.
Até um raspador me emprestaram.
Foi sem duvida uma semana espectacular,que me soube a pouco e espero poder repetir mais vezes.Quero ainda agradecer a cerveja que o Fabricio me pagou no bar onde ele trabalha no Funchal.Agradecer mais uma vez ao Romão ao Stephan e Hugo pela hospitalidade e amizade honesta que me proporcionaram nos dias em que aí estive.
Os meus últimos e especiais agradecimentos vão para o Professor Hugo Miguel.A ele quero mandar um grande abraço por me ter acolhido na sua casa no Machico.Por me ter dado a conhecer os excfelentes surfspots da madeira e por me ter tratado de forma tão cordeal e amiga no período em que aí estive.O Nuno também é um grande bodyboarder respeitado por todos os surfers madeirenses.Um grande abraço Nuno e obrigado por tudo

Bonjour a tous, je suis francais, j'ai 25 ans et, travaillais a la construction de l'aquarium de Porto Moniz pour une entreprise francaise.J'etait le grand francais qui faisait du long skate le soir dans les rues de Porto Moniz. Je suis tombe amoureux de votre ile ou je suis reste 4 mois. Actuellement je suis en Grece. Mais je reviens sur madere passer 9 jours du 21 au 30 decembre. Je reviens seul et cherches des personnes de Madere avec lesquels aller surfers. Je vais habiter a proximite de Porto Moniz. Merci

Soy frances,tengo 25 anos y travajia en en vuetros isla en la construstion del aquario da Porto Moniz por una empresa frances. Soy el grande frances que hacia patineta al fin de la tarde en las calles de Porto Moniz. Me gusta mucho vuestros isla donde vivio durante 4 meses.Ahora soy en Grecia pero me voy un otra vez en madera entre el 21 y el 30 de decembro.Voy solo y quero encontrar gente con quien ir para surf.Vivo a proximo de Porto Moniz.
