very good waves, but not so frequently - Ciao, i'm an italian surfer. We' ve here in Italy good waves and a great weather, always sun and the water temperature is unbeliveble...in Sardinia there are 300 days wave/year and in Liguria, Toscana and Lazio , Calabria, Sicilia you would surf great waves during the spring and autumn...came here...you wouldn't believe!

surfing italy - Ciao!
I'm an artist/surfer from the Marianas Islands in the Pacific who'll be heading to Pietrasanta in July to stay for a month and a 1/2. Are there any surf spots around this area?
What can I expect from the locals? Are they just as territorial as the surfers in the Pacific? Are there any small homes/villas/apartments to rent that are cheap?

Surfing conditions in May - September? - I'm thinking about visiting Italy sometime between May and September. Could you tell me where the best surf spots would be... and if they would be any good during that time of year? I would also like to know about any places in maybe Southern Italy that would be cheap with good surf. I appreciate the advice!

Waves in Napoli? - I am moving to Napoli in September 2002 to live for a couple of years. Should I keep a surf board with me or will it be a waste of time?

I remember some years ago reading about guys surfing in Italy, and I have on my travels met Italian surfers of a high standard, but I can find no information on spots.
