Coming in to Castlerock town, drive straight onto the Beach, The river break is at the extreme right of the beach. Easy jump of pier rocks or endure a long paddle.
When surfing the rivermouth, respect the locals and you will have a friend for life. Be sure to turn right fast or risk eing sucked back up the face and pumelled into the water or sand. Great vibe here.

Real laid back atmosphere in the water, pure admiration and no competition. Excellent for aerials for those good enough to tackle. Use the rip as a conveyor belt and if you get annoyed going right, paddle across the river and surf Bailes on Portstewart, a great left.
