Leave Waterford City and head for Tramore. Wen you reach Tramore take the coast road in the Dungarvan direction. It's along that road after about 10 minutes.
Don't mess up on the right hand side of the beach cause you'll break your feet off the rocks at the bottom. Also beware of the rip-current. This spot preforms best about 2-3 days after a heavy storm and while there is still a little bit of low pressure around. A slight offshore breeze (anything from the north) helps to peak up the waves.
General
Excellent on awarm summers evening if the swell is in the 8-10ft range. Water is nice and clean also. Very good for kayak surfing.
Annestown is great
Annestown is a great place to spend an afternoon in the sun or rain.theres a lovely sandy beach great for children to play on and the water is nearly always really warm.
