Can be good fun - The wave below the cliff is nice...handy to get out to from cliff...can get a little crowded but often the peaks further down the beach can be just as much fun. Its a peaky short ride but its a fun drop in you might get one or two decent turns in....Weekends watch out for surf schools!

Easy Access - The best thing about Tullan is the fact that you can avoid the breakers by walking along the rocks and jumping in out the back, great for when your hungover!

tullan is definetly a left - very few chances for a right...

Tullan a right?? - Tullan may be a right at some of the peaks to the north of the beach but the main break under the cliff is a perfect left. It works on nearly all swells and can oftne be 4ft and glassy when the Peak and Pampa are 2feet and sloppy as hell.
Either surf this wave durin the week or set your alarm clock for 6am as this wave will be packed by 10/11am. Some really skillful kids surf this break, way better than most of us "elders" lol. brilliant place to surf

Get your own history - Why are all yanks either "Irish-Americans" or "Scottish-Americans" considering most of them left from Plymouth non of them claim to be English, go figure?

Oh, and that bloke is right. Tullan blows, surf the point, 3D or Pampers.

- really even when its shite theres at least 20 people on the one main peak.On a good day, which is rare, there are up to 100 people spread over about 3 peaks. im not tryin to put anyone off but the days of only ten people out in tullin are long gone! that was about five years ago. now every kook from ireland seems to come and visit every weekend.

Step Into Liquid - You can see that handsome Irish man, Richie Fitzgerald in the movie, Step Into Liquid. I watched it twice now because I can't get enough of his good-looking face! Maui/Jaws and Oahu/North Shore has some really beautiful waves, but I think I may come over to Ireland where my ancestors are from so that I can experience the Atlanic way! Neat website! Keep surfing! *Natasha O'Brien
