Local insight - Rossnowlagh is one of the weaker waves in the area but still has its good days. Great place to get a surf when it is big and onshore, stay near the rip and surf rights (caution - this is too dangerous for beginners). If you can't paddle out through the waves in the middle of the beach then you are not ready to use the rip.
