It's a bit of a paddle probably about 2-300 metres. The ligthouse area at the north end of the reef is protected bird reserve in May to the end of June so be careful (there should be no problems surfing the break during that time, just approach from the beach or from the south.

Current!!!!! - I've lived there my whole life, be extremely careful with the current that stretches out from the norht of the break. If you would hit it, you might not be able to come back, so have someone watch you from the shore....But interesting place to surf.
