What tha?? - Wow, It's great to read such passion between brothers...Yes, I said brothers! What are you guys doing?? Of course you should all get together. You are all part of a very small, privelleged group of people in this world that have been fortunate enough to discover surfing.I have surfed all over the world (except for Greece unfortunately)and believe me we are different. Surfers know something that others don't. We have been infected with a virus that will be with us all for the rest of our lives. There is nothing better than hanging with like minded people and enjoying the stoke...MAN, I'M GOING SURFING RIGHT NOW!!!!! Localism sucks, violence in the water sucks and forgeting why you got into surfing in the first place sucks. Next time you go for a surf, hoot someone into a set that you don't know...go on, I dare you!

about time!! - it is nice to see a positive progression between surfers! why don't y'all start writing about your surf adventures for us to read about: you know there are people who enjoy that a lot more than the bickering and complaining. Thank you for the time to express my thoughts. Peace!!!

den drepeste ligo! - why should anyone be attacking anyone? is that whats its all about for you?
By nobody surfer , 15-10-2004
who is Aronis and crew? - i am getting confused. i dont know who is who and who is attacking who anymore. Please break it down for me so I can know where everyone stands. Who is the real person behind "Greek Surfer" and who is "A Real Surfer" and who is "Just Surfer" and who is Papandreo and who is Yianni-is it the Yiannimon dude? and so on!

Aronis & Crew - To CST:I feel, it can all be worked out.Taso: If we saw a sincere stance like your recent invitation and less bombastic pompousness, we wouldn't have a problem.
By Greek Surfer , 15-10-2004
Let's all take a chill pill - Guys-in all fairness, I think Tasos deserves a break. True, many of the things that have been said by the CST were questionable, and I've raised all the problems that I've had with them openly through my past emails, but his invitation should at least be appreciated. There's really not many Greek surfers around anyway, what a great idea it would be for all of us to get together and get to know each other, even if we don't agree with each other. Yanni, I agree with most of the things you say but in this case, I have to disagree with you. Having a gathering of Greek surfers or even just surfers from around Greece no matter what ethnicity they are, hanging out and doind some surfing won't really have any negative consequences. Even having a little contest amongst ourselves wouldn't be bad, it'd be fun. Let's all try to keep an open mind and the truth is, that no matter how exposed surfing gets in Greece, it will never trully get crowded. Plus, surf here is good and all, but who would really want to come down when they can go to the Canaries with the same amount of money and score better waves? I propose we all at least try to meet. I can come down in December or early January for 2-3 days Taso. What do you all think?
By a real surfer , 15-10-2004
about the contest - why dont you make a contest about the GREEK LIER CHAMPIONi think you can organise it.and you have allready the winner, how caqn lie more than TASOS!!!!!maybe papandreou!!!! it is going to be a nice heat.now excuse me i have to go for surf .do you remember SURF???
By cst , 15-10-2004
times are a changin'... - the wedding's over. let the sand off of our feet be a warning to you who were invited and then closed the door when we knocked. go in peace bros.
By just surfer , 14-10-2004
yo surfers - remember your words are your actions. be prepared to stick by them and be responsible for their reactions. nothing goes unnoticed or forgotten. it is a fine line between a kiss and a bullet shot...
By Yianni , 14-10-2004
Thanks guys... - ...but no thanks. I don't need to come to Crete to tell you how I feel about all this. Surfing in Greece has always been a very underground affair and now it looks as if it's about to get Zoo'ed. You obviously havn't travelled around much to see how easily and quickly it can happen. It seems you are blessed with the waves but low on intellect. If I were you I would shut my mouth (and my website), sacrifice the few euros you hope to make on these surf tours and just enjoy the peace and tranquility of surfing such a great place in relative solitude for as long as it lasts. Before you know it, it'll all be over, the waves'll be crowded and you'll regret your contests and other malakies.
