great place for beginers u need to check the waves out on the internet befor you go otherwizen can be disapointing

visit to la rochelle
good day fellow surfers,i am going to be visiting the port of la rochelle in march and wanted to know how close the nearest beach for surfing is, whether it is in walking distance from the port and whether the surf is relatively good for this area normally? all comments would be welcome before 10th march 2006. many thanks

I think i was the first !
In 1983 chef de baie was not a beach like now and a friend said to me , sometimes it's possible to have waves here. And one day , i was lucky , i had my board with me and good surprise many good waves(because very windy but wind for north west) and i called all my friends surfers and i said come with me i am alone!The first name of the spot was RADAR-BEACH.bye and keep surfing...
