cool spot surf this on plenty of times, best at bouverie beach( the central entrance/middle car park off the main bend on the cote. Waves can be excellent at times and crap at others...but on the right day and tide you can stay out there all day unitl high tide when the sand banks tend to flatten it out. Best waves to be had on incoming tide. Camp sites are close by espesh one near lighthouse entrance...get in get wet

whoa dude, this coast is wild! I have spent several summers near Anglet waiting and bitching about surf and then one day, a buddy took me to this wonderful consistent spot, lashing this wild coast in deed filled with Pine trees and sand dunes. It was completly empty on a sunny day of late August...Try Ile d'oleron too, Charente-Maritime rules!
