les gars sont fous la bas toujours les memes conaissent le peak par coeur impossible de prendre le bowl.un conseil evitez ce coin allez du cote de sciotot ambiance plus cool.au rozel a part le peak du bout on ne peut prendre de vagues.

Old friends
Had a week lounging around all up and down West Normandy Coast on a spongefari with three top French trayers (Salut Guy, Benoit and Evvy). Always glad to return to Le Rozel. Even though summer's notoriously sloppy and small, managed to get two epic sessions in after big storm conditions in late July. 6-8ft beachie beauties peeling both ways. There appeared to be a bit of a sandbar that's built up this year pretty much slap bang in the middle of the beach (sadly near buoys) but this really did wedge up some steep old monkeys. Guy managed an ARS twice in two days (skinny show off) and the rest of us nailed some sick stuff although Benoit did take one badly on the conk (busted it actually) over the falls . Tried out new custom boards with new pin tail arrangement - magnifique. Locals were totally cool hombres and although infamously barren for good drinking establishments, hung at a bar/bistrot at Sciotot. Le Poux was working pretty well one mid tide but loads of Bass fishermen kept us tight to the right just off the headland. But as always, fantastic trip - Siouville and Anse du Brick monstered as well. See y'all back here for the big sponge comp later this year. A bientot mes trayers.

kayak surfing
Im going to austria two weeks after for a week river running, but wanted to try the surf as an easier option, as it is more relaxing, but like i say i dont want to be a pain or have any hassle from surfers. never been to france before so was looking for a place to go.

Im going over to france for a week and taking my kayak, im not experienced on surf and dont want to be a pain in the ass to any surfers, can anyone recommend an area which would be more benificial for me to go, just want a relaxing holiday with no hassels.

Hey what's up spongers ..Ill be in Normandy from June to September this year and I'd really like to check the Rozel since that's the closest beach to where I'll be staying and perfecting my French any info on spots, krews or hang out in the area would be well welcome..Maybe we can get together and have ourselves a Jammin' session??
Salut a tous les biscotteurs(euses)...Je serais en Normandie cet ete de la Juin au Sept. J'aimerais bien connaitre Le Rozel puisque c'est l'endroit ou la plage (valable) la plus proche ou je residerais, si vous avez des info sur les spots ou autres endroits sympas si y'a des clubs ou des gens sympa desireux de montrer leur spots...Il y 2 ans j'etais a Bidart (Pays-Basque) et j'ai recu un acceuil tres chaleureux (Big Up to the Basque People) j'aimerais avoir un reception meme que dans le sud if possible car mes origine sont de la Normandie et nous pourrons peut-etre avoir une session d'enfer?

There's no problem here with local attitude, but only with one local, really stupid and very agressive.
Everyboady know him, and not anly in Normandy, but excepted this guy the locals are cool and friendly

Does anyone know if there is anywhere near Le Rozel or Sciotot where you can hire out a wetsuit/board for the day?!

I don't how one can complain about any local attitude here. It's one of the most friendly place I've never seen...even with perfect waves and crowd. It seems like there 's a kind of "localism complaint" syndrom all around the world, not only in Hawaii but also in Le Rozel! Come on guys, stop kidding, be worthy of a true surfer, be respecfull and you'll get respected in any place.
