The wave is working by big swell and is fun: wait for the low tide. At this moment, the harbour is quasi empty and you will find the wave. Photos below are old ones: a jetty has been built. The wave is not as good as before but it seems that the wave is coming alive little by little as the sand comes back.

The landscape is beautiful and you are alone. Don't look after the cap: you will discover the nuclear plant of Flamanville. No wave here.
still efficient
La vague n'est certes plus la même mais en cas de grosses conditions, une vague rentre dans le port et permet le surf et le bodyboard ou body-surf, ce malgré l'horrible quai destiné aux colis du futur réacteur nucléaire EPR qui stoppe la vague le long de la jetée.
Ca marche en moyenne 5 à 10 fois dans l'année. Quand c'est très gros en mer.

"La vague n'existe plus depuis qu'ils ont fait ce putain de port ( c'est notre "LA BARRE" du Cotentin ) Dommage car c'etait vraiment une bonne vague. Elle se surfe encore maintenant à marée basse derriere la jetée en face des blocs mais bon plus rien à voir ....."The wave doesn't exist ever since they have closed the harbour.
