Take a club
La salie is a great shore-break beach with really good waves. But i think its better to go with a surfing club because they will take you to the hottest spot on the beach that day.

Yep, that bunker often has a very good wave, and is also described as bobbys or the dead zone on the list of spots. It´s a long walk from la salie.

If you go about a mile south of la Salie (walking on the beach), you will get to a nice spot that sometimes works whenever la salie is either crowded or messy. I don't know if the bunker is still there on the dune, but that's the name of the spot.

Pollution
This beach has an excellent shorebreak, that's right!! But look the water and see how it's polluated!!

salut !!!
je surfe souvent à la salie et à bisca ,et je trouve ce spot très diversifié comparé aux autres et à bisca.
il peut y avoir 50cm à bica ou au report , la bas il ya 1m
tubulaire. De la même manière lorsque c'est vraiment gros , c'est un des seuls spots qui ne sature pas au dessus de 2m comme pour le reste de la gironde.il y a plusieurs spots au sein même du spot : à gauche du wharf c'est le mieux une super droite qui marche très souvent, à droite du wharf un shorebreak bien puissant et encore plus à droite une vague qui déroule le long d'une pointe dans certaines conditions (à la salie nord).c'est donc un spot à multiples possibilités.Cependant même si ce spot est déserté à cause des rejets du wharf (egouts),c'est un spot avec un bon niveau à l'eau et vaut mieux se faire respecter car les locaux sont assez sauvages.Une seule chose à retenir virer le wharf qui dégrade les conditions de surf et nous oblige à faire des canard wc pour passer la barre.

Yep... It's been a while. I am stuck in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for the whole summer. I really wish I could spend my summer around Arcachon and get a chance to go surfing at the most awesome beach, La Salie! Okay, the waves aren't that great, the water is filthy, but there's just something about that beach...
