It's the first spot south of "Bassin d'Arcachon". By car when you're driving from Arcachon to Biscarosse on the old road (built up by the german soldier for world war 2) you'll pass the beaches called "le petit Nice" then "La Lagune" then "La Salie". You don't have to take "La Salie". Keep going straight 1 km and on your right you will see a little road with a phone and a panel "stepple des marins" it's there ! Park your car but watch out with what you leave inside. Then you'll have to walk like 20 min. you can go also by 4x4 but it's forbidden.
Currents are strong and sandbars are moving quickly so the quality of surf is very inconsistent. The problem is the polluted water rejected by the Warf. Surf here at your own risk. Currents are strong it's true. You'll have to be in a good shape. Wave only for shortboard or bodyboard or superman with longboard.
Overview
Atmosphere
One of the place I like very much. It has to be explained that this beach has like a pipeline built up on a bridge of 1 kilometer long and 15 meters high. You can go on it and have a beautiful view of the beach and the forest. And you can even make some jumps from the bridge when there is no waves. But before ask to some fishermen how deep is the water in order to choose where you want to jump. Don't do it at low tide !
General
Its a great spot but i think its better to go with a surfing club because they take you to the best spot on the whole beach that day.
Take a club
La salie is a great shore-break beach with really good waves. But i think its better to go with a surfing club because they will take you to the hottest spot on the beach that day.

Yep, that bunker often has a very good wave, and is also described as bobbys or the dead zone on the list of spots. It´s a long walk from la salie.

le bunker
If you go about a mile south of la Salie (walking on the beach), you will get to a nice spot that sometimes works whenever la salie is either crowded or messy. I don't know if the bunker is still there on the dune, but that's the name of the spot.
