My Village Hourtin
I'm from Hourtin but live in Ireland now. For the ones who slag my village. If you don't like Hourtin tuff..I love my village. Ok it's quiet only 3500 peoples live there during the winter and 30 000+ in the summer. But don't talk about something you don't know. Hourtin is not Lacanau or Biarritz we have our own little life and we love it. I'll be there next week on holiday and I can't wait to see the waves..

i`m a german guy. i go there since 25 years and still love this place! Good for relaxing and boarding. At night there is nothing in the town. But i go there for holliday, relaxing and surfing and not to make party. this i can do at home. See there next year :-)

18/07/06 Just got back from two weeks in hourtin plage loved it waves 6' plus, 30 plus degrees and a spotless beach.
Very relaxed place. We'are going to come back!!!

def doesnt suck
i visited this place a year ago and though it can be a bit crowded ,got nailed more than a few times, and ive surfed in heaps of different places including Hossegor, Fuerte, Portugal,Morocco and one hell of a trip to the Mentawais. town(the one street haha) isnt big but if you go there with a good bunch and want to simply surf at day and drink at night this place is a good crack...ended up more than a few times in some strange nightclub pub above a restaurant where my sister had a fling with the barstaff.

Hourtin doesn't suck
Hi, I live in Hourtin plage all year long. I think others people who spoke about the spot before me hadn't stay enough in Hourtin to get good waves. If you stay one week in a place you can't talk about it. Summer sucks, I'm OK about that because it's crowded (but hot and sunny). But it's a rare place where you can surf on your own when it's good (from october to may). If it's so bad why many australians come there ? It's a quiet place and if you want you can surf 7 days a week 365 days a year!!! nothing more to say...

that twat who signed himself DJ is a wanker who lives in bournemouth and is talking about southbourne....the whole of this region is world class compared to anywhere in england I've surfed including sennon...you don't look big just cause you diss this area,you look a kook....if you aint been here even in summer I suggest you try it as it is surfadice,later
