When all spots around are closing out, come here. It works only with a large swell. It produces a little fast wave very good for bodyboarders. Even if the wave has a fun tube, it is a dangerous place: currents here are very, very strong specially if the tide is falling down. DON'T GO IN THE WATER IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER.

cap ferret surf'n' party 'n'camping
there is a surf shop on the 'boulevard de la plage' (forgtten it's name), run by a real nice guy, where you can rent boards. also, there is another one in town (near codec supermarket), run by a typical arrogant french bastard. a big camping site is situated at the entry of the town and partywise head either for 'le spot' (close to the camping) or 'new centaur' for french cheesyness. in july they celebrate the' oyster festival', massive outdoor party with the whole town on it's feet 'til the early morning hours!! NOTE: the place is absolutely overcrowded during french summer holidays, depending on you that can be a nightmare or the holiday of your lifetime!
