Sainte Anne du Portzic Access |

From Brest, take direction "technopole Brest Iroise" or "Sainte Anne du Portzic harbor" then look for the I.F.R.E.M.E.R research station (NOT the office atop the hill !)and park close to it.
Pass the gates (public access) toward the jetty, look on your right : here it is.
Don't worry anyway, you'll get lost. Everybody get lost here, even those who live here. Just stop the car and ask.
Other access : take a bus from the center of Brest (ask for the rigt one). 6 FF for a single ticket. |

The correct swell needed is BIG, because it needs to be powerful enough to get inside the bay of Brest (dream swell : 6m +; SW).
If you hear everything else is closing out, take a look and don't forget the board!

How to say it...the usual surf places around the city of Brest are crowded, overcrowded or over-overcrowded. This one is completely unsurfed.
Very secure place because into the bay of Brest, the hardest thing is, well, being there when it works. Other hard thing : the bottom...it is SHALLOW ! |

Never too big, rarely big enough to be surfed.
Pretty fun to be with some friends.
Surf here and call yourself a local, the others won't believe you...because they don't know where it is. |
