Les moules = "natural "selection When it was crowd I just moved on to les Moules, and cause of the rocks we where often 4 or 5 guies when they were 40 on the main peak. No many solutions : competitive surf, to go at home or to "risk" the rocks

very hollow with the good conditions when it's small, it's the crowded wave I've ever seen but come a day with OH+ waves and very low tide, you may see nobody but best locals and broken boards on the beach !

Do you want a new pictures of "le petit minou"? I have a lot of picture of Le Minou and Déolen, an other spot next the other one. I can give you pictures if you want.

Submarines, dolphins and red flags on the cliff... Wow ! So many people come here to have a word that it's pretty amusing to see those different opinions about the place !As far as i'm concerned, i warned everybody on the site descritpion : come on weekdays and look for the early morning low tide session (6 AM). Isn't it, Aloha man ?Just some more info : yes, you can see french navy submarines come in or out the bay of Brest. But hey, mister "Local de Crozon", you also have the secret services war training center at Kelern, don't you ? Let's go make a lobby to oblige them to welcome surfers on their daily half an hour duty-boat crossings from Brest to Crozon, that will allow us to save the 1 hour road trip. For those who don't know : If the surroundings of the Petit Minou are full of war ships, it means that they're clearing the other surface ships for one long nuclear cigar to come by.I once saw a submarine go by, plus some 4 or 5 dolphins visit the Petit Minou waves at the same time (looks like they're good surfers, because they swam off toward Déolen !). Another last tip for those who intend to take a walk on the cliffs : when you see red flags all along, it means that the navy is practicing point-and-shoot tests. No worry: it's just simulation but chances are you won't be allowed to use the public tracks for the day.We all live in a strange place, don't we ?!

avoid this spot man man this is the worst place to go surf ever, don,t go there, you`ll have the time of your life dealing with everything but surf! if you still want to go remember you need medium swell and NE wind, the break start working 2h30 after low tide falling tide is the best, forget low tide with big tide coef, it,s just a close out section, bring a longboard also, but you better go to deolen it,s way better at the same time of tide>,.. aloha

Read Kristen instead of Gilbert ! The Petit Minou CAN NOT get 4m+ swells ! At 2.8 it is already beginning to close out.Who are you Gilbert ?! From Brest, take direction Le Conquet (road D789) and turn left when you see the roadsign to "Grand Minou" lighthouse(15km or about 20' after Brest). Then, go down the road 'till you get on a parking lot in front of the sea. It's there : the right side of the rocky point is "Le Petit Minou", the left side is "Les Moules". To surf with only 2 or...10 people out : COME ON WEEKDAYS, in the MORNING.BONUS : take your time to go for a walk for about half an hour, on the right when you look at sea from the parking lot (along the cliff)...at least two secret spots in that way.The whole Brest surf zone is LOW TIDE ONLY.

Wrong!!! This spot is one of the most crowded place of north Britany. The only way you can surf there alone is to come at night.Every WE, even if it's 1/2 foot, there is like 50 (or a lot more) people in the water. This is not a point break type wave. Beach break with rocks on the southern part of the beach called "les moules". The northern part (le petit minou)is sand only.Water: from 10C or less to 18C during summer.Swell: starts working at 1 foot (50cm) , it starts getting good at 1m.Tide: not hight tide!!!Hazards: the crowd as it is a urban area surf spot, spongers, longboarders,surfers...everyone is there.General comments: a must see for the who thinks theirr spot is popular and crowded. It gets epic sometimes.Surf report: yes
