100% Left End of Lafitenia I aggree to spongebob, the picture is the rocky reef at left end of Lafitenia. Been there several times, nether saw anybody in! Only pros with jetski support or suicide candidates may try. A bit more southernly I mentioned two longboards (far) out on 4-5 mtr. swell mid October 2006.

Who knows? I'm a local from St Jean De Luz and it's hard to say if it it's the left side of Lafitenia Bay or Mayarco.. Any way if it's Mayarco, nobody can surf these left picks. There are monsturous hidden rocks on the left side of the bay with no water....Good luck!Mayarco is totally dependable on the sand covering the rocky bottom in the middle of the bay or not...When the sand is there the waves are located in the middle (left and right with a big tendency for close out) or on the right hand side of the bay (right). Note that we didn't see any ripable waves for at least 3-4 years and it only works at low or middle tide (picture was taken at very high tide…). In summer time, when it works this is the closest sand bottom waves from St Jean De luz and obviously packed by hungry local kids who have not much alternatives; so past your way and surf the other near by spots.

Looks like Lafitenia left!! Somebody back me up but the picture shown looks very much like the left hand point of lafitenia bay!? Cant remember its proper name, breaks quite dry on smaller swells. Seen it surfed quite a few times on bigger swells.
