salut
well, i was there two times each for 2-3 weeks. so 6 weeks overall! i lived at pavillon royal. its expensive but very good!
so.. in all the 6 weeks there were only 2 or 3 days which werent surfable! and i was always there in summer! during july and august. sometimes it became also big! may be 3meters! then, if its that high, many waves close out but there are still some surfable. i had 10 wonderful days there, with perfect glassy conditions, come here early in the morning to check the spot. if u go in the sunset, you will be nearly alone in the water, wonderful experience.

Beach food stall
Forgot to ask if the stall on the beach still exists. There was a great girl with massive tits behind the counter. Shame she had an attitude, but maybe she's grown out of it (the attitude - not the tits, hopefully) by now?

Family holiday
This spot must surely be a contender for one of the best family surf holiday destinations in the region. Whether you like surfing 'tackle-out' or in, you are sure to find some lovely right breaks. The water is great for tasting the digested spanish cuisine and the beach is a deformed stone's throw away from the Le Mutant, who is the main supplier of groceries in the region. The french are a passionate lot and there are many bushes along this stretch of the coast that will prove very educational for the children indeed! The area is very safe and the police will stop at nothing to make sure that nudity remains confined to the beaches. We had no problem with the locals... the local dogs that is. They proved worthwhile loyal companions who are keen to see the nearby campsites go their way. A tip from me, don't feed the dogs ice-cream.

We reigned supreme at this place 10 years ago.
On a warm summer's eve when you were sitting around the campfire listening to some sad ponce with a beard and a guitar whining on about the cricket, you had the greatest experience on your lives - my arse - your face.
The waves were ok. Only went bigger than 6ft for a couple of days in the 3 week period and this place couldn't handle it unless you fancy a 3ft shorebreak on dry sand.
Vous etes sale!

le pav = dont drop in
this is a spot with locals, a school and lots of german and dutch tourists that wanna try surfing. So you can imagine it gets quite busy. There are a few peaks, but the best should only be surfed by expirienced surfes, who can respect locals and prioritys. A few years there were big problems with localism, it has calmed down a bit but the locals are still at home so be nice to them and it should be alright

Adz somme news ?
so you may think that your answer is way more fun than mine. Except that i didn't want to be funny. It seems that you try, but the result is the same. I wish you a lot of close-out, especially out there. Good surfing on the worst beach-break of Basque Country.

Oh dear Tom
You're a bit boring, aren't you, Tom.

bad spot
The longboarders here are very hungry. They never stop catching waves. I've surf with only two of them, but it was enough to get frustraded. Not a good spot to be happy during the summer. And during the winter, it close-out a lot. This is a really, really bad spot.
