Additional Information
Attention : it's one of the french big waves surf spots. It holds up to 5m and sometimes more! The wave is not hollow but don't underestimate it: it's very powerful. You can ride the left but it's dangerous when the swell is big and you'll eat the sand. The inside produces good and hollow waves. Take a low profile for 2 reasons: locals are better than you and the wave is stronger than you. The left ends up in the impact zone. Enjoy!
CAUTION : When big, beware of the strong currents. Experienced big wave riders only.

Atmosphere
Better with a longboard on small to medium swells. You will need a gun on big and huge swells.

Avalanche - I paddled out from the lifeguard hut on the beach. It was a fair distance offshore, and me and the camel ferral looked in anticipation as the wave picked up from nothing. There were maybe 4 guys out, all of which had longer boards. (TBC)

Viagem: Basque country with Camel Ferral

The trip started out with the camel ferral stoned again after his morning hit from the bong. He hadnt packed his stuff yet, and still needed to cover his boards in bubble wrap for the inevitable mishandling of the twats at cheap flight baggage hand

Locals of Guethary - During a surf/birthday trip with my boy in October 2003 we got to surf here in morning glass 2 metre waves. The standouts were some local 'senior-citizen' longboarder (with a peaked neoprene cap) & a blonde 'Amazon" surf-goddess. They caught almost ALL the waves skillfully, fearlessly & HAPPILY! They were friendly & MODEST. We`ll never forget that session! We`ll never forget them! Aloha!
