Surfed with my 13 yrs old son in October 2003. Awesome! Wonderful vibes with locals & tourist surfers. There`s a type & quality of wave for everyone here from groms to kamis. Biarritz itself is a beautiful city & Surf-Mecca!

Early August, a solid NW swell,4-8 ft.,fair plus shape. Crowded, but a friendly crew.A nice surf scene.Plenty of juice.Extreme tide swing can change the shape drastically and onshore stormy conditions came right behind the swell, the same day.Follow the lieguards'instructions/flag system or you could be beached!

Cheap Places to stay in Biriiatz
Anyone one know of any cheaper places to stay in the area?? We are planning on going in late Sep - early October.

the spot is okay, most the time its quite small and full of longboarders. i dont prefer the spot because its also often crowded, but mostly the waves are clean! its okay especially for beginners

great time for ...v+e.
surfing cote de basques in late september 2006, me and my girlfriend had a great time in the water as well as outside. it's a perfect spot for beginners, gotta love it:-) definitely worth a session while staying around hossegor. definitely coming back to catch some waves next year. ...v.

@ robert. summer is the most inconsistent time of the whole year though there are still many surfable days. expect smaller waves higher prices and crowds especially on the more frequented beaches around biarritz and the hossegor/seignosse/capbreton strip. watch out for tropical storm activity in the atlantic ocean and high pressure systems over france for offshore winds and good waves.

surfed here in the summer, was really really good, really sheltered too up by the wall. definately reccommend to anybody.

I usally go here every year in the summer, in the late august and beginning of spetember thise place is prefect. I realylove thise place and planning to move here in a year or two. Prefect surf place
