No high tide?! I've only been there once and it was a swell < to 50cm. But in these conditions, there are only a severe shorebreak and no surf possible. Dunno at hight tide a 2m swell. I guess it should work...

I surf this break all the time the whole year round except weekends. It has its days, but in general it is an average beachbreak which tends to close out a lot. for beachbreaks you're better of in Les Landes.

Bodyboarding Kids had great time bodyboarding at Bidart with 6-8 ft waves, well supervised by lifeguards.

le pavillon royal check out this campsite on the beach at bidart, we have stayed there for 3 weeks august 2000 2001 2002 and are booked in for this summer. On a good day 4ft to 6ft waves peel and sometimes tube across the beach. Great campsite for the family with good facilities and no need to drive to the beach.

Info This description page is a bit off the mark. It's a pretty busy break all the time cos it's near the N10 main road and well known. Small clean swell will mean it's mobbed, so get in early or stay in until dark. Can be a classic beach-break on its day, easily as good as anything in central Biarritz but not as powerful as Anglet, and not as hollow. Holds a big swell at times, I surfed it at head and a half and there was plenty of juice left in the tank.
