I went there 3 weeks ago, waves were not great but okay. We went to the bar at the spot, with one word!? GREAT, to my mind a MUST SEE Spot. If it dosn`t work take a 30 minutes drive to Blankenberge

floating art
i saw this big big buoy with floating art float in front of the coast, it looks ok and it could easy hide a wave machine, like the one Tom Morey was working on for a while, i think he called it a wavecannon, it would compress a lot of air into tanks sitting on a floating pontoon outside the coast and then release them through tubes underneath the pontoon in the direction of the coast creating ridable waves, if there is enough money around to put a raft with art on it there must be some money around to put a raft with a wave machine under the art, just a thought, it would be good for local bisniz too, everyday nice peeling waves, just turn the machine on. :)

It's a pity that so many "so called" surfers insult belgians because the waves here arent like Teahupoo... We didn't chose them. We take what the ocean has to offer us.
We never insulted anyone, we're trying to make the best of what we have, so why you guys are giving all those bullshit comments about waves you never surfed and will never surf ? Shut up.
Surfing is a great way to learn respect, for the ocean and for other people... Apparently you don't have a clue what respect is...

By the way, I've been to Australia three years ago and spent one day at Surfer's Paradise down there : it sucks! Overcrowded, people insulting you when you catch "their" waves... Big spots, big mouths...

People in this country must be really desperate to surf, those things I see in the picture do not qualify as waves, floating on a flat muddy sea with a surfboard is everything but surfing...

It's strange the more you come closer to Knokke, the heavier the names of the spots...but that is offcourse the attitude of the Knokkeboys, Knokke is the 'richmenstown' of the coast for something...I prefer Oostende, more for the common people and there's this layback vibe there and at at night there are parties all over the city! Wooooooo
