So what is going on? Are they gonna build a big wall around this spot? Will it disappear, should we try to save it if so? Would a new and maybe better spot originate? on the other side the works have already started? What's up with all that?

I would like to see some France, Portugese or Spanish surfers in heavy mushy North Sea conditions... Don't think they would catch alot of waves... But it's through I also prefer point breaks in nice conditions...

Nasty locals BBRRRRR
The sea belongs to everyone so you don't have to worry about the locals. I surfed at this spot a couple of times (only at big surf). When you're not a complete beginner and you surf according the rules there will be no problems.
Unless offcourse some local thinks he invented surfing, or thinks he's Andy Irons.
You will always have such guys in the water, so fuck them and have a good time!
