i love how every single person on this friggen sight goes on and on about what they don't know about the virgin islands. There no waves so don't think there is.

St John Surfing
Surfed Cinnamon Bay and it was ok. Not overly crowded but the take off spot is small. Locals (people who work there in the winter) seem fine. The waves were never big, maybe chest high and mushy as hell, watch where you fall you could land on top of a staghorn coral (ouch). I was there during a huge north swell and it was barly ridable at the peak of the swell. Bring your board if your willing to head over to tortola but save the money if just going to St John. There are some local guys who think of themselves as pirates that will steal your shit if you let them. Had a guy and a shaggy kid on Cinnamon eyeing up my board when I was down there. They were casing my campsite but I had taken the time to contact a ranger and hide my board really well.

Howz it!
Lived and surfed in STT from 89' to 93'. Now living and surfing in Nova Scotia...brrrrrrr. Hull Bay is fun but nothing to write home about. Just treat the locals with respect, give the friendly nod of the head with a 'Hey' and you'll be fine. Anyone in here remember the swell that the "Perfect Storm" sent down? I was one of two people foolish enough to paddle out at Hull Bay in 20ft swell...scurrrry. Memories. Anyhow, if anyone knows Christian Moriarity, Cristian Mommsen, Paul "Smokin" Stoken, etc., let them know I'd like to do some catch up and contact me at the email given.Cheers,Chad B
