Sharks
There are a ton of shark around the island. I know swimmers who have barely escaped and a spear fisherman who had they catch stolen. Just talk to the local fisherman. They will tell you all about the sharks. When i was there they caught a 13ft Tiger Shark and a 9-10 Bull shark. Now you know why many of the locals don't swim.

Sharks
I was snorkeling in St. Kitts right offshore from the Marriott, about 200 yards from the beach. I saw a big shark, around 6 foot. It was cruising over the reef. That was the last day I went swimming.
