Current of death Holy crap. This is the longest paddle of my life. This current is Hardcore when its Big, theres a bit of a channel. Perfect your duckdive otherwise youll end up sucking white water for 2 hours

LOCAL To surf la pared you really have to know the area, because acording to the season curent and break areas change. winter and hurracane seasons are the best.

Crapola! Lived next to it for 3 years. Only good when Hurricanes go past it to the north. Then it is fun and usually clean. But mostly disorganized lumby dumping garbage. Go to La Selva or race tracks or like me just drive to the west coast.

Paddle BURN On the bigger days you have to paddle your a$$ off to make it out. If you head all the way to the right there will be a rock formation. Go ahead and jump off the side or end (more balls required)and the paddle will be much easier. I used to love surfing this spot, and the locals grew to be pretty cool, even though we butted heads a little at first. I really miss this spot and La Selva. You can't beat the consistecy of this spot or the perfection of La Selva.

strong currents This is a beach with REALLY STRONG currents. Several people have died here. Just be careful with the currents, cause sometimes they make mini whirpools.

no title 99% of the time la pared is a sloppy disorganized closed out beach break. Its good to get a few short rides in. The left at the point is a bit better. But it faces northeast so the prevailing winds are onshore. If La pared is close to good then head out to la selva or el faro and it will be INSANE/

visitor i went here feb 17-22, it is a fun wave left beachbreak straight out from the big rock. When its bigger it wedges and creates a sick barrel. Definitely a fun wave to experience unforuanly all the times i surfed it, it was blown out, but i dont think i will go there again. just like to say hi to all the locals down there from chad and ryan from california. so write back on here if you see this alright late.

Corrections and additions I was probably half asleep when I wrote the description but a few things... $20 to rent a board at La Selva and it isn't a rock formation, but a stump in the middle of the water which has the nice long break.
