Pipeline? Are you kidding me?
Come on! Pipeline? This is an easy peeling wave. BARRELS? WHERE? It is such a PIPELINE as my mother is Miss Universe.
Don't get me wrong, I went to school in the near town of Humacao, and have surfed Inches for over 30 years. I love the place... But Definetely it is not a PIPELINE

I agree. U def need a better picture of this spot to refer to it as pr's pipe, although judging by the shape of the reef/bottom/point it looks like a very good set up.

is just a fun wave but local call it pipe jejeje
I never see this spot going more than 5 feet face,
when is flat in san juan good choise to ride a summer wave but there better place to go
la escuelita el channel and las lajas
good restaurant arround the area

You need a better picture if you're going to call this wave "your Pipeline". Looks like 1-2' longboard surf to me.

Pipeline?
Inches is a great wave, dont get me wrong, but it hardly barrels like pipe. If any wave here could be called the Puerto Rican Pipeline, it would be Chatarra. Inches doesnt really barrel on the outside, but sometimes you can pick off a few little pockets on the inside section. It can hold a very large swell, I surfed it last summer during hurricane season @ 12-14 ft and the wave holds up really well. The paddle is easy due to the huge channel on the right and you really dont need to worry about the reef too much as it isnt "inches" deep when its on. I've been told by numerous locals that it got the name inches due to the fact that normally thats how big the waves are. When the south coast does have a swell this spot is where you will find the crowds. Its a pretty easy wave and the take off isnt too steep. There is a kiosko near by for when you are hungry or need an after session cerveza. If inches is big and you dont feel like dealing with crowds, there are plenty of other spots on the south coast that get really fun. Puerto Rico has tons of secret spots, so become friends with the locals if you really want to catch some uncrowded barreling waves.
