beware of pirates surf there until you see a center console with twin mercurys 200 hp that's when your session is done the locals are in. we share this place only when we are not surfing it. theres around 5 waves around this area, lefts and rights.

Racetracks I've lived here for 10 years, and it really breaks best on N-NW long period ground swell, cold fronts & hurricains. It's very susceptible to the very little tide change we have +-2 feet at the most. The wind can screw it up in a hurry, and the paddle out through the channel in the reef is totally scethchy on big days. Bring a pair of huevos...but as the others have said, when it's on...whoa.

Great spot Not many people think the east coast of PR gets any good waves, but I lived in Fajardo for two years, when this place is on, its on. The wave comes from very deep water and breaks right on top of shallow reef. You can get smashed over it and when the water gets sucked back it will leave you in a puddle of water a foot deep, watch your fins and your ass. Ive seen this break around 12-15 feet in the winter when the conditions are perfect, just talk to fishermen and watch for a swell. The wave breaks about a quarter mile off shore so it takes a while to get there.

thx, I took the photo I took the photo a few years ago. Its was a day with variable winds but in san juan it was onshore. There was a swell running but looked sloppy and not too big in the san juan area. To our surprise when we got to the seven seas beach and saw the barreling right out in the distance! offshore and perfect. It stayed like that all afternoon. It was pretty consistent with more than just 2-3 waves per set. just perfect. Its hard to tell when to go. And if you get there its bad, theres nothing else.
