info on P.R. surf - I'm going to be in P.R. for a week in december christmas with my family. We are staying in Palmas del Mar (south east) about an hour from San Juan. I know this is the wrong side of the island for surf, but I was hoping to figure out how to get
some days in. I haven't been to P.R. before so I'm not sure what to expector what travel is like. I am a intermediate longboarder. Was
wondering if you might have some advice on where to go and if you can rent good long or fun boards. The airline wants $120 U.S. each way to bring
boards so I was hoping to avoid that if rentals are an option. Also, if there are guides on the island. Any info would be greatly

Back from PR - I hit up Wilderness with Jose--a great guide from the island--and had an unreal session. Go to Aguidilla--the place rocks--get lunch from the PLAYABRAVA, COFFEE AND LONGBOARD SHOP. Good chicken salad. Wilderness--6 to 7 feet, semi-clean/clean, long rights, good stuff. For more info on Jose,

Surf Spots Around San Juan? - I'll be staying in Isla Verde for the month of March, and I am planning on bringing my board. I dont know anything about the area, except for I hear that La Ocho gets some pretty good size and it's off a little island about 1/4 mile off the coast? What about Puntas? Is that close to Isla Verde? If anyone knows anything about the spots, drop me a line, any info would help. Thanks

The Shining Star surfing is an all year round oportunity - We have an endless summer. There is good weather all year round. The overall experience is that Puerto Rico have good all year long Fun waves. The Island is only 100 miles x 35 miles, so it's easy to get around the coast. We have a good airport and good roads. Come Surf.
