just got back
surfed it fun during the first week of jan 2007 - head high and ripable - pretty crowded but easy to get waves if you are aggressive - you pretty much have to be or you will just sit and watch as locals drop in so far up the point they they dont make any of the waves.

This is not real.
This wave is not very consistent and needs a good north swell. But when it is working it´s like Indo. Be shure to go there in the right season (Late November untilstart of February)and you´ll catch very good waves. If you´re friendly with the locals you´re only going to pay like US$1,00 for the boats. If you are a cocky no one will take you there.

OK - guess what, It is crowded and has been for a long time. Come, have fun, be prepared for crowds.

...its not very good here.. i stayed for almost 3 weeks and only got one day of headhigh waves..cut my foot on the sharp reef on a small day and got a gnarly staff infection.. the boats cost like $8 every time you want to surf..

When there is a swell this place has a great left. when i was there it was crowded 40 guys. if it is crowded head around carenero there are 2 peaks on the other side near north rock. left and right i think this side actually has more power, less tube.
