Just there
I was just there on july 10th and the waves where great! All overheads and best to the right. It was there pretty early in the morning but I had no complaints. You just have to be there when its going off because after 9am it died and there was nothing. Go to the Mazatlan Surf Center and talk to the guys. They'll tell you when to go and you'll love it. Easy waves, beer, and sun.....what more can you ask for!

Horrible cLOSEOUTS
I am an excellents surfer and was here for 9 days. Basically, it is unrideable closeouts. I surfed it from 3 to 8 foot faces at all tides. If you got lucky, you could find a VERY occasional shoulder. Some days were unrideable.

I think this is the same as Playa Brujas...
Hey all, eddie oh here.I just got back from Mazatlan this past weekend. I was there March 25-28, and found Playa Brujas to have some pretty good waves. Course I'm a beginner and don't know much. There was a guy renting surf boards for 10 bucks right on the beach. I stayed at the Oceano Palace on Camino Sabalos and took one of the cheap buses up there sunday evening for 8 pesos.Only one or 2 other surfers, and pretty windy, but I caught one good ride. Wish I had found it saturday so i could've gone more. Also there is at least one surf shop in Mazatlan that rents boards on the strip down by Mister Tony's and Senor Frog's etc, across from the Budget and Alamo rental car shops. You'd need a car if you rented from them though. Don't think you'd want to take a board on the bus!I also saw one guy surfing at Olas Altas on Saturday. Didn't look real great there though. Brujas looked better.Have a good one!
