Marco Palumbo
I lived in Puerto Vallarta on and off since I was about seven. I have lived there on and off. I tryed to surf everyday if I could when I was there. Usually there is not a real consistant swell.Im from Southern California and am used to surfing there and up and down the baja. I know you can get alot of disinformation on the internet but I dont have anything to sell you and I dont really care if you go or not. But I think I can save you some time with a little advice about this spot. First of all when this break gets the right swell it has medium to high power when it is around 4-7 feet. You can get barreled and the waive is pretty hollow when it first breaks. It however is a very short wave. When it gets 8-10 although that doesnt happen often it gets very hollow and fast. Most of the time it does not break large enough to surf. If you miss the surf however it is one of the most beutiful coastlines I have ever seen and I have been almosy everywhwere there is to surf. Before you spend the money to take a ponga see if the waves on that beach are at least 3 feet or it wouldnt be worth the trip. Have a good trip. See my other comments on other local spots if you need an honest heads up about this area.
