ausie rod - this place rocked..one of the best times in my life.. spent 3 months there on a year tour round the world in 97...pumped between 2 ft to 10 foot for 87 days out of 90 during July August September..the locals were unreal..met the most wicked people and tuned my barrel skills to a better level..snapped a few boards & wish I could do it all again...a place is only as good as you make it... I often wonder what happened to all my friends I made that live there? How you going Hose'hows the little Hose'... still as cheeky as ever I bet..I'd love to go back..they use to call me orange juice...hugo narangha!

clarifying - i usually dont write things on message boards....but what the hell. bodies washing up on beaches? ive lived here my whole life and never even heard of such a things. Yes there is criminal but where isnt there. The people here are great, the surfs great, the fresh catch of the day is great and dont forget the ice-cold corona. the surf in pascuales is great but the best break is pascualitos, which sounds the same but its a different break. location : no no no, no telling you. figure it out if you want it bad. trust me, there IS a reason to want it bad. mexican surfer! Burro!! - HAHAHAHA!! Ok, the russian guy is mentioning that kid "burro" Anybody else meet that kid? He is a sly little guy, Mexican, speaks english well, but I think he is really evil deep down. Seems almost possesed or something.. Anyhow, I thought it was funny that somebody else met that kid there.. Pascuales is an insane, dangerous wave that definately rivals puerto. You'll either get barreled, or get hurt, or both!! Dont get the fried fish tacos!!! I yakked!!

hey lightfoot from san diego - hey san diego. stay in san diego. loads of you soft guys coming down here on holiday with your new boards and designer clothing but you do not know anything about michoacan's costa except a trip to visit. you don't know the history of la ticla, bandidos or the narco violence. the americans that live at la boca de pascuales are fine and the locals like them. you are new and do not live in mexico. your experience was fine and you say very nice things, but do not under estimate the danger factor here. people reading this board should head warning and tread lightly. wavehunter's guy might be a wanker but im sure he knows more spots than the average joe on holiday in michoacan and that's what people pay for. unlike your san diego overcrowded and aggro surfer's, michoacan is both dangerous and un-crowded...so quite writing on this board and go surf swami's with all the other kooks. signed, el matador de flojos de san diego

DON'T BELIEVE IN EVERYTHING THAT YOU READ..... - I don't usually write in discussion boards, but I had to. First of all, don't believe about stories. Go there and check this wonderful place out. The reason why I am telling you that, is simple and I gotta to believe me. There are a couple Americans (gringos) who live down there that they don't want you to come. I mean that. They speak a little spanish and they feel like they are the locals down there. Just to let you know, even the locals don't like them since they scare people away telling lies and acting like jerks. Secondly, drive down to a place call La ticla on the Michoacan State and experience secret spots that you won't believe. Also, around San Juan de Alima there is another "Gringo" who has his own website promising you to take you to many secrets spots. Please do not pay this fool to drive you around, just rent a car on Colima, Col. and do it by yourself, this guy also thinks he is a legendary surfer, but the true is that he is just an old fat Texan that has a "bad attitude. " I hope I have helped you to clarify some points that I have wrongly read here at this website, By the way I believe the main propose of this website is to help surfers like me and you to get around quickly or am I wrong? By the way I saw some of the most consistent waves on that ridge and I am still stoked. Bless all. CHG - San Diego, Ca.

great waves at pas - Went to pas 2 years ago the first time i saw the wave i about shit my pants 8 foot and looking more nasty than pipeline any day that image is burned in my brain surfed it the next day 6-8+ and super clean and good. I heard all kinds of bad things about that place before i went and that led me to be scared but i had no problems there. i think most of the bad news is from the crowded spots where people dont want other people to go.the only executions would be of thieves that the mexican policia find.i was so scared from what i heard and yet there was no problems except when i got the car stuck in the sand which a local helped me dig out for nothing except my thanks.

Good wave - Good powerful shifty beach peaks although polluted with river mouth just north of the main break, sharks too. I would surf there anytime and check it when I am on the way to Coleta. B
