Punta Mita Hotels My family and I stayed at the Hotel Las Olas in Punta Mita and would highly recommend it to anyone. Owners Dave and Lisa treat you as guests of their home and will offer to help you with anything you need. Dave surfs and he will direct you to all of the local surf spots. Thanks Dave and Lisa. Hope to see you again soon!

Lookin for some advice Headin to PV for 2 weeks at the end of Dec/early Jan and looking for some mellow uncrowded spots with good waves for myself (I suck) and my buddy (rips). Prefer to be as far from obnoxious tourists as possible. Pretty seasoned travelers can handle some adventure and "flexible" accomodations. Looking at renting a car or happy to hop on a bus for a few hours south or north. Any advice is much appreciated.. Thx Trent

Punta Farallon I was in Punta Mita last summ and had my sights on Punta Farallon but never got there. Did you ever make it to Punta Farallon, if so how was it. I am looking to go south of Bahia Banderas, looks like it picks up more NW swell. Any helpful info would be appriciated

I had an awesome time sept thru nov the swells are nice and consistent I went to Burros and Veneros both were cool. Locals were laid back. it was peace. Last day of my stay hurricaine Elaine came in and shit started to go off powerful waves best be fit when paddling out in a hurricane awesome experience will never forget this vacation Peace to all the locals I met,Angel Jester and Eric, And John from B.C. anyone know anything about Punta Farallon? It's listed on this map as a surf spot but there's not info about it. What level? What's the closest town/village? Is there a surf shop anywhere near by?

just got back myself PV has plenty of good surf. If you want to surf the north side of the bay and the point, go to action sports in punta mita and ask for Eduardo...he can hook you up with longboards or shortboards (the fish is his so ask nicely) and a panga ride out to any of the breaks around the point...and bring your skateboard because they have a small halfpipe out in front of the shop...if you want to surf the south bay, take a 25 minute panga ride from the beach at mismaloya to quimixto and surf the left there, but beware...surf only the east end of the beach where the left breaks, the rest of the reef is stupid shallow!!!
