Sharks around Arroyo Seco
I live in Arroyo Seco and the local surfers say that sharks are, well, not a problem.
Don't snorkel in the freshwater lagoon behind the beach however. There are caimans (a type of crocodile).

Left side
Everyone surfs playa chica here but if you take a left at the end of town there is another beach that has more power. Once again, 2 second closeouts are the norm but there are also little tubes and bowls. These are probably the funnest 2 seconds closeouts you can surf and the shit is super powerful. Lots of life in the water especially rays--and you can see them all. Nobody out at this southern beach. Might want to bring a friend! Ill post some pics!

This is a pretty cool place but the previous messages are correct. its a closeout but there are some fun shoulders but I think alot of it depends on the swell angle as well. The day I surfed it there was a very very heavy right next to the rocks. You can see it in one of the pictures. My friend got tubed 3 times in a 2 hour session, but like everyone else said, definently a closeout. As for camping... no more my friends. Someone bought the land and it is all now private. They still allow beach access during the day but no overnight camping. A security guard came and made us leave after camping out for the night, AND we had a local mexican guy with us from punta mita. cool place though, and BEAUTIFUL AS HELL!
