Near the Hilton Hotel at Cancun there is a regular sized beach with white sand and clear waters. There are no hotels on that beach and its a sunset watching spot. That is where you are headed. |

| | This is a really nice spot, no annoying sales people and just a few beach chairs here and there. Its usually pretty clean and you can find the state's surf school there- its a little round hut with a palm roof as there is only one famed talent in the area ("El Jamaican"), its just a local diversion. You can park your car just a few meters from the beach as there is space for that, given that you access from a place where the road widens for tourists to watch the dolphins jump.

The place is beautiful and empty and although waves are usually small-regular sometimes they get pretty big. Big tournaments are held every few years. White sand, clear turquoise water, occasional friendly dolphins....... Love the Mexican Caribbean. |

My view... well.... its a nice place to work your tan and surf and chill. No epic waves just a fun day at the beach. If you are ever in Cancun and need to get away from the drunken spring breakers and the crazy partying AND miss your art, then here is a perfect place to catch some waves. |
