Drive north of Ixtapa for about 40 miles then you'll see a turnoff for Troncones, then you'll go down a long bumpy road and you'll see a sign for the Playa Kandahar Surf Club. + About a 30 minute drive north of Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo on highway 200. Turn left when you see sign that says Troncones, then follow the dirt road for 3 more km. until you reach the beach.
This spot is very good for bodyboarders and shortboarders. The wave is very clean and can get pretty big. + You can park anywhere along the beach! Simply find a peak as there are lots to choose from! Heavy beachbreak wave when it's big! Bring a good board but be careful not to break it!

This spot is very relaxed, there's usually not many people out and the people at the surf club are friendly. + A heavy beachbreak wave when it's big! A laid back atmosphere with few crowds! This area has great surf potential. Drive a little north and you will find more great spots!
